The Americana at Brand

The Americana at Brand The Americana at Brand, Caruso Affiliated's first mixed-use development, features a vibrant blend of shopping, dining and entertainment with creative residential living in a beautiful park-like setting. This $400 million dollar project occupies 16 acres and features approximately 475,000 square feet of retail/commercial space, including 100 luxury condominiums and 238 apartment homes in the heart of downtown Glendale.

EEI was sought out to represent the Caruso brand, to provide an added sense of quality and sophistication. The goal of the partnership between EEI and Caruso Affiliated was to create an upscale environment while being artistically creative and cost effective. EEI was responsible for creating, art directing, and executing all of the storefront facades that encompassed a large range of faux finishing techniques. From simulated stone textures to sophisticated faux finishes to an aged 120 foot steel elevator tower, EEI facilitated innovative finishing techniques to achieve a level second to none. With daily coordination with Dave Williams, head of architecture and design for Caruso, EEI made it possible for Caruso’s vision to become a reality.

The Promenade at Westlake

Promenade at WestlakeDuring the massive undertaking of completing the Americana at Brand, Caruso Affiliated again requested the expertise of EEI to renew an existing property, The Promenade at Westlake. EEI with daily coordination with Caruso Affiliated, utilized various faux finishing techniques to create an upscale Mediterranean feel in the heart of Westlake Village.

The Promenade at Westlake is a 210,000 square foot Mediterranean-style shopping, dining and entertainment center. Featuring unique boutiques, al fresco restaurants, courtyards and pedestrian-friendly outdoor features, the development has evolved into a lively center of town for a suburban community lacking a traditional downtown area. Visitors come to shop, relax, hang out, and spend time with friends and family; enjoying holiday celebrations, community events and live entertainment in a beautiful outdoor setting.

The Promenade at Westlake has won multiple design awards, including the 1997 Gold Nugget Grand Award for the "Best Commercial Project for Retail," and the 1998 International Council of Shopping Centers 22nd International Design and Development Award for "Innovative Design and Construction of a New Project."
